Ricci Rivero will once again play alongside brother Prince.
Ricci has signed with Blackwater’s 3×3 team, the Red Bossing.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed but 24-year-old highflyer out of University of the Philippines is expected to make his PBA 3×3 debut for Leg 6 of the third conference this weekend at Robinson’s Malate.
This marks Ricci’s return to the 3×3 scene.
Ricci was part of the Gilas Youth 3×3 team that competed in the 2015 FIBA 3×3 U18 World Championships. The team that is also composed of Kobe Paras, Richard Escoto, and Mike Nieto finished in 17th place in the tournament.
He was also part of the FIBA 3×3 U23 World Cup 2018 team along with RJ Abarrientos, Rhayyan Amsali, and Jeepy Faundo. They finished in ninth place.
In 2019, he was once again called up with Abarrientos, Amsali, and Barkley Ebona for the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2019, finishing in 16th place.
In Blackwater 3×3, the Rivero brothers will team up with Hubert Cani, Jeff Javillonar, Mac Sabellina, and Alfrancis Tamsi.
The Red Presidents are currently in 10th place with 160 tour points.
