Ray Parks, Nagoya cruise past Kyoto in B.League


Ray Parks and Nagoya routed Kyoto, taking a 91-58 win in the 2021-22 B.League season, Saturday at Kyoto City Gymnasium.

A third quarter surge by the Diamond Dolphins saw Scott Eatherton spearhead a 22-0 rally to turn a 44-all tie into a 66-44 lead.

Nagoya’s lead balooned to as high as 34 points, 89-55, with a minute left in the game.

Eatherton got 18 points and nine rebounds while Coty Clarke also had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the 10-7 Nagoya.

In his third game with Nagoya, Rob Dozier got 11 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks as Ray Parks only had five points and three steals.

Justin Harper led the skidding Kyoto with 30 points and eight rebounds. Former Aomori import Michael Craig was limited to just 10 points.

The Hannaryz fell to 2-15.

The two squads square off again tomorrow.
