After nine years, there will be a new Parks at National University.
Bobby Mark Parks has committed to joining the Bulldogs.
Head coach Jeff Napa confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times. Meanwhile, coach Jo Gotangco helped the school land the player.
The 6-foot-5 lefty swingman will be eligible to play in UAAP Season 86 next year. He will have three years of eligibility since he spent one year at Waubonsee Community College in Illinois.
This is a homecoming for Bobby Mark, previously playing for Nazareth School-National University’s under-14 team in the early 2010s before moving to the States and finishing high school at Harding Academy.
“Masaya kasi na-handle na namin siya dati sa under-14 team namin,” said Napa. “Malaki na ang inimprove niya sa laro at sa maturity na tingin namin makakatulong sa amin in the future.”
Though struggling to find minutes with the Chiefs, Bobby Mark had been working with Gotangco in preparation for his UAAP debut.
Glad is Napa to have Bobby Mark in the school.
“Siyempre, alam naman natin ginawa ni Ray para as program namin. Nandito si Mark para gumawa ng sarili niyang pangalan sa NU,” said Napa.
Ray played in NU from 2011-13, winning MVP twice and making it to the all-UAAP team thrice.
