Bobby Ray Parks Jr. did the dirty job for Nagoya, guiding the Diamond Dolphins to a dominant 84-53 win over Kyoto in the 2021-22 B.League season, Saturday at Dolphins Arena.
The Diamond Dolphins put up a defensive masterpiece in the last quarter that led to their sixth straight win.
Up 56-49 entering the final frame, Nagoya went on a blistering 17-0 spurt to blow the game wide open. The Diamond Dolphins only allowed the Hannaryz to score their first and only field goal of the quarter with 2:55 left in the game — a Justin Harper trey.
All in all, Kyoto shot just 1-of-10 from the field in the final quarter while allowing Nagoya to put up 28 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field.
Parks did it all for the now-15-7 Nagoya, finishing with a game-high plus-27. He tallied five points, three rebounds, and an assist.
Scott Eatherton led the Diamond Dolphins with 21 points and 10 rebounds while Coty Clarke got 12 points and 10 rebounds. Taito Nakahigashi and Yusuke Karino chipped in 10 points each.
Kyoto, who dropped to 3-19, was led by Harper and David Simon as both tallied 13 points and nine rebounds.
The two teams cap their weekend series tomorrow.
