Former ONIC PH roamer Ralph “Rapidoot” Adrales is planning to make a comeback in MPL Philippines Season 12 after deciding to skip the ongoing season to focus on his studies. Rapidoot revealed his intention to return to the big stage in a media interview at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City last Saturday.
The 23-year-old roamer, who is also a fourth-year Tourism student, made the tough decision to skip Season 11 to prioritize his schooling. But now that he’s in his final semester, it looks like Rapidoot is dead-set on restarting his stalled professional career next season.
“Balak ko po is Season 12 pagkagraduate ko sa Paranaque City Colleges, pipilitin ko pong pumasok ulit ng MPL,” Rapidoot told members of the press. Rapidoot’s future with ONIC PH remains uncertain, as he has yet to discuss it with the team’s management. However, he expressed his willingness to return and play with the squad again if given the opportunity.
His decision to focus on his studies led to his assignment to ONIC PH’s MDL team, ONIC Arsenals. There, he felt he could manage both his academic and professional commitments more effectively. ONIC Arsenals finished dead-last in Group A with a 5-8 win-loss record, which eliminated them from playoff contention.
Rapidoot said that the team had a lot of potential to be great, but their short preparation proved to have doomed them in the end.
“Siguro ano, konti yung buwan [for preparation].
