MPL PH: Vintage Oheb tows Blacklist over RSG for bounce back win


Blacklist International relied on Kiel “Oheb” Soriano’s skills in the gold lane to thoroughly dismantle RSG Philippines and recover from their opening day loss in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City.

The three-time MPL PH champions had suffered a 2-0 sweep at the hands of Echo the day before. Oheb, who had been assigned to their MDL squad last season, delivered a flawless performance throughout the series, leading Blacklist to their first win of the season.

“Super duper nagprepare kami. Nagpractice kami nang sobra. Naghanda talaga kami para sa mga match namin,” said Oheb on their lopsided win over RSG.

The Filipino sniper spearheaded Blacklist in Game 1, showcasing his expertise with the Lesley pick and earning the match MVP honors with a 5-0-7 KDA.

Blacklist’s iconic Ultimate Bonding Experience (UBE) strategy was on full display in Game 2, preventing RSG from securing any kills until the 17th minute. Although the Raiders managed to prolong the match, Oheb successfully brought down the base turret during the 20th minute siege, securing the series.

Fellow Blacklist newcomer Stephen “Sensui” Castillo earned the MVP honors in the closing match with a 0-2-10 KDA, while Oheb finished with a perfect 4-0-3 KDA.

The Tier One-backed squad will face Smart Omega next on Sunday.
