Rachel Daquis joins Farm Fresh

Farm Fresh has pulled off a major signing, bringing volleyball icon Rachel Anne Daquis on board for the upcoming 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

The Foxies announced the acquisition on Friday, welcoming the seasoned outside hitter to their growing roster.

“It’s been said a couple of times before: Farm Fresh needs a veteran outside hitter who can lead the team to greater heights. And that’s exactly what we got. Join us as we welcome another PH volley icon into the Farm Fresh fold, FOXY RACHEL ANNE DAQUIS!” the Foxies’ statement read.

Daquis, 36, missed the entirety of the 2024 season to focus on her business ventures, but she’s returning to the court with renewed vigor and a wealth of experience.

Before her hiatus, she spent six years with Cignal, where she helped secure four third-place finishes and a runner-up spot during the 2022 Reinforced Conference.

Throughout her illustrious career, Daquis has consistently proven herself as one of Philippine volleyball’s elite.

Her journey in the Shakey’s V-League began with the Best Server title in the Season 7 Open Conference.

She soon showcased her ability to shine in big moments, capturing the Finals MVP award in the Season 8 Open Conference.

Known for her all-around game, Daquis continued to impress with a pair of MVP titles in Season 11, where she dominated both as the Finals MVP of the First Conference and the Conference MVP and Best Server in the All-Filipino Conference.

Daquis’ impressive performance extended beyond Shakey’s V-League.

When she joined the defunct Philippine Super Liga (PSL), she quickly became a fan favorite, once again demonstrating her fierce play and competitive spirit. Her defining moment came in the 2015 PSL All-Filipino Conference, where she was named Finals MVP and led Petron to glory.

She continued to solidify her standing as one of the best outside hitters, earning consecutive titles as the 1st Best Outside Spiker in both the 2018 Invitational Cup and All-Filipino Conference, as well as the 2019 All-Filipino Conference.

As Daquis joins Farm Fresh for the 2024-25 PVL season, she brings with her not just a decorated career, but also the experience that can help elevate the Foxies to new heights.

Also signed by Farm Fresh is libero Jheck Dionela
