PeSO named national team partner for inaugural Esports Nations Cup

The Philippines is set to make its mark on a new global esports stage after the Philippine Esports Organization was named the country’s official National Team Partner for the inaugural Esports Nations Cup 2026 in Riyadh.

The appointment positions PeSO at the forefront of assembling and managing the national squad, including player selection and overall team operations for the month-long competition scheduled from November 2 to 29.

“We are honored to be appointed as the national team partner of the Philippines for the upcoming Esports Nations Cup 2026,” said PeSO executive director Marlon Marcelo. “This designation reflects our continued commitment to developing world-class Filipino esports athletes and strengthening the country’s presence in international competition.”

Marcelo emphasized that preparations will be carried out in close coordination with key stakeholders to ensure the team is ready for the global stage.

“We will work closely with our stakeholders to ensure that our national team is fully prepared to represent the Philippines with excellence, discipline, and pride,” he added.

To support the buildup, Sibol general manager Leo Andrew Escutin has been appointed National Team Manager, tasked with overseeing daily operations and ensuring the team meets the competition standards set by the organizers.

For the Esports Foundation, which organizes the ENC, the Philippines’ inclusion underscores the depth of talent in the local scene.

“Filipino players are some of the most friendly by heart, but also fierce competitors on the server,” said Hans Jagnow, director of national team relations. “We are looking forward to hosting their national delegation at the inaugural Esports Nations Cup.”

PeSO was selected from over 630 applicants spanning 150 countries and territories.
