Pauloxpert rues Bren’s in-game executions vs RSG

Bren Esports assistant coach Paulo “Pauloxpert” Munsayac revealed that the team’s early woes in MPL Philippines Season Nine can be traced back to its in-game executions, Friday night.

“Para sa akin, I would say na confident ako sa draft ko kanina for both game,” said Pauloxpert moments after Bren Esports’ 0-2 loss at the hands of RSG PH.

“Super confident ako sa draft ko kanina and feel ko execution, hindi naman sa bini-blame ko yung players ko.”

Back in the first week, the former GOSU roamer, who is now in charge of Bren Esports’ draft, said that the team encountered some minor problems during its draft — causing fans to wonder if the same happened this time around.

“Parang it’s not them e, pinapanood ko hindi talaga sila ganun mag laro e.

“Ewan ko, we’re gonna try to figure something out. Hindi ko pa alam yung solution, yung sagot, [but] there needs to be a solution that we need to find,” added Pauloxpert.

Execution woes aside, the Bren Esports drafter said that the team has been producing impressive results in its scrimmages against Indonesian teams.

However, the team had a hard time adjusting to the Philippine META after its sparring sessions with overseas squads. That, according to him, was another factor in Bren Esports’ 0-2 start this season.

Still, the youthful tactician believes that the team can still bounce back from the early hole. He also said that he might shuffle some players depending on the team’s performance in its next two matches this week.

“We need to keep our heads up, kapag nag-give up kami kaagad then walang point,” said Pauloxpert.

“What’s the point of giving up right away, mahaba pa naman yung season, may second go pa sa round robin so ang mindset dapat is bawi na lang even though siyempre masakit na natatalo, pero walang [mangyayari] kung mag gigive up ka na lang, mafufrustrate ka, ayun,” he further explained.

Bren Esports, who is slated to play three games this week, will take on ONIC PH next tomorrow, Saturday at 6:00 PM.
