Coming off a foul-plagued game against the Saigon Heat last December 22, Paul Zamar was able to get his bearings back, leading the Mono Vampire BC to a 104-84 rout of the cellar-dwelling Formosa Dreamers, Sunday afternoon at the Changhua Stadium in Taiwan.
After being limited to just 13 points during their overtime thriller against Saigon, Zamar finished this game with 21 points on 6-for-12 shooting in 27 minutes of action.
The 31-year-old dropped 15 markers in the first half alone.
Mono led by as much as 25 points in the contest, 92-67, with 5:56 left.
Compatriot Jason Brickman glued things together for Mono. The six-foot floor general, who is averaging 12.86 points and 9.0 assists, tallied eight markers while dishing out a season-high 16 dimes.
The win lifted the Thai club team’s slate to 5-3. Formosa, on the other hand, dropped to 1-6.
Formosa’s Filipino export James Forrester was declared out for the season after rupturing his right Achilles tendon.
Zamar and Brickman will get their first crack at Alab Pilipinas on January 14. The game will be hosted at Stadium 29 in Bangkok, Thailand.
