Paras, Bagunas clear quarantine, join Niigata, Oita


A couple more Filipino players were able to join their respective clubs in Japan.

Kobe Paras was finally able to join Niigata, attending his first practice session on Friday.

Paras arrived in Niigata from Los Angeles, California two weeks ago.

The University of the Philippines product missed all three of Albirex’s televised preseason games as he was in standard quarantine.

Niigata opens its season against Kyoto on October 1.

Over at Oita, Bryan Bagunas was also able to join the Weisse Adler last Monday.

Also last Monday, Sarina Bolden did not play for Chifure AS Elfen Saitama while Quinley Quezada was not fielded into the lineup by JEF United Chiba in their 1-1 game.

Later in the day, Thirdy Ravena and San-En begin their back-to-back preseason games against Hokkaido at the latter’s home floor.

Finally, according to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation, the ninth Filipino player that will play in the B.League has already arrived in Japan. He is set to be revealed next week.
