Manny Pacquiao is all set in his quest to regain the World Boxing Association Super Welterweight Championship.
The 42-year-old fighting senator, who owns a 62-7-2, 39 KO record, checked in at 146 pounds — a pound shy of the welterweight limit.
His opponent Yordenis Ugas (26-4, 12 KO) weighed 147 pounds to make the bout that is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“I didn’t like that someone took my belt without challenging me in the ring. Both of us are champions, but we’ll see who has the belt after Saturday,” said Pacquiao, who is coming off a two-year layoff.
Pacquiao’s compatriot Mark Magsayo (22-0, 15 KO) will take on Julio Ceja (32-4-1, 28 KO) , with the fighters weighing in at 125.5 and 125 pounds, respectively, in the undercard.
