Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo made sure to respond to Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse’s challenge as Falcons AP.Bren denied Aurora’s attempt at a reverse sweep during their match last Sunday in MPL Philippines Season 14.
With the win, the reigning world champions solidified their position as the second team to secure a playoff spot in the inaugural season, boasting an impressive 7-2 record.
The tension between the two players began on September 7, when Renejay – during a live post-match interview with Mara Aquino – expressed his eagerness to face Falcons AP.Bren in the latter half of the regular season.
He didn’t just stop there, boldly aiming a statement at Owgwen.
For Owgwen, this was a first in his two-year career as a professional MLBB esports player – a direct challenge to his role as a roamer.
Most players usually focus their attention on the team’s core stars, but this time, someone was targeting him.
Yun yung una kong naramdaman noong first-time kong narinig yon,” Owgwen said in an exclusive interview with Tiebreaker Times.
Owgwen’s excitement was palpable as he faced off against Renejay, knowing that his skills were being tested. The challenge only intensified his drive to prove himself and maintain his reputation as one of the world’s top roamers in the MLBB scene.
