ONIC punches MPL PH Grand Final ticket, gains M3 slot

After four seasons, ONIC Philippines is finally back in the biggest stage of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines.

This, after ONIC scored a huge 3-0 sweep over Omega Esports in the winners’ finale on Saturday night.

With the win, ONIC Philippines also punched its ticket to the M3 World Championships for the first time since the first edition.

In the crucial Game Three, Omega Esports managed to get ahead by shutting down Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy’s Pharsa early in the match. That, however, was not enough to force a Game Four as Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol’s Ling took over in the late game to seal the sweep.

Kairi was awarded the MVP plum in Game Three with nine kills, a death, and three assists in 28 minutes and 16 seconds.MPL-PH-8-Winners-Finals-Onic-def-Omega-Game-3 ONIC punches MPL PH Grand Final ticket, gains M3 slot ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

“Sobrang saya kasi nung last game namin kahit luging lugi kami nung una ‘di kami sumuko nag tulungan kaming lahat para i-angat namin yung isa’t isa,” said Kairi after the win.

Baloyskie’s Popol and Kupa proved to be too much for Omega Esports in Game One as he led ONIC to a huge 15-10 Game One for the 1-0 lead. ONIC then went for a complete stomp in Game Two, annihilating the SMART-backed squad with its three-mage setup composed of Baloyskie (Yve), Marky “Markyyyyy” Capacio (Pharsa), and Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera (Esmeralda).
