ONIC PH releases Wise, OhMyVeenus

ONIC PH has decided to let go of two of its longest-tenured players.

Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario and Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna have been released from the ONIC PH roster, the organization announced Wednesday.

“Kapag mahal mo, dapat kaya mong i-let go para pareho kayong mag-grow. Kaya sa minamahal naming Vee at Wise, we wish you all the best! Mamimiss namin lahat ng VeeWise moments ninyo. Pero patuloy pa rin naming susuportahan at susubaybayan ang inyong future endeavos,” the team’s post read.

Wise and OhMyV33NUS were integral parts of the ONIC PH squad that placed as runner-ups to Aura PH (former Sunsparks) in Seasons Four and Five.

The duo was also part of the Dream High squad that topped the qualifiers for Season Four which started ONIC PH’s ascent in the local Mobile Legends scene.

ONIC PH, though, suffered its worst finish in three seasons, after a sweep by Execration relegated them to fourth place.

Wise struggled mightily this season and OhMyV33NUS as well.

The latter’s limited hero pool also became a problem at times for the two-time second placers.

Just a day ago, the organization announced the signing of former Execration star Jaylord “Hate” Gonzales, who also plays the same position as Wise.

There are reports that Hate will be playing the support role this time for ONIC.

Still with the squad are Jay “Jay Torculas, Christian “Iy4knu” Manaog, Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera, and Peter Bryce “Basic” Lozano.

ONIC PH still has one roster spot to fill before the ONE Esports: Mobile Legends Professional League Invitational.
