ONIC Philippines made quick work of Nexplay EVOS, 3-0, to advance to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight winners’ finale, Friday afternoon.
After taking the first two games of the series, ONIC put on a clinic to cap off the series and enter the next round.
Aggressive early plays from Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol (Ling) and Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy (Selena) prevented John Paul “H2wo” Salonga’s Hayabusa from hitting his timings.
That eventually won ONIC PH the game as Nexplay EVOS failed to come back from the early deficit.
Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcarse’s Lapu Lapu put up a brave stand against four heroes late in the match but it was not enough to salvage the game for Nexplay EVOS.
Kairi was awarded the SMART 5G MVP with five kills and three assists without a single death in the quick 12-6 Game Three win.

Marky “Markyyyyy” Capacio defied timings in Game One, taking over early as Claude in the dominant 17-6 victory in just 13 minutes and 44 seconds. The SMART 5G MVP collected three kills, a death, and eight assists in the victory.
The 22-year-old gold laner out of Marikina was once again in charge in Game Two, but this time he had Ian “Beemo” Sergio’s Rafaela to power up his Kimmy. Beemo ended up with a game-high 16 assists along with a kill and a death as ONIC PH took a 2-0 advantage through a 19-11 win in 17 minutes and 57 seconds.
Nexplay EVOS, after a strong showing yesterday against RSG PH in the first round, will have to go through the losers’ bracket for a chance to fight for a slot in the grand finals.
ONIC PH will take on the winner between the Blacklist International-Omega Esports match tomorrow at 6:00 PM while Nexplay EVOS will take on the loser earlier in the day at 3:00 PM.
