ONIC keeps team intact as chase for MPL PH crown continues

ONIC Philippines kept its roster intact for its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Nine title bid, the organization announced on Wednesday night.

Headed by Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy and Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera, ONIC is looking to conquer the local stage following a tough loss in the M3 World Championship grand finals.

The two veterans will have Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol, Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales, and Marky “Markyyyyy” Capacio still on their side in the starting unit.

Meanwhile, reserves Mico “Micophobia” Quitlong, Ian “Beemo” Sergio, and Nowee “Ryota” Macasa will once again provide the much-needed spark off the bench.

ONIC Philippines had the chance to claim its first-ever MPL title in Season Eight but was denied by Blacklist International, 1-4, in the grand finals.

Then, the team competed in the ONE Esports MPL Invitational 2021 but only reached the second round after losing to RRQ Hoshi.

In the world championships, ONIC Philippines topped Group B with a 2-1 record to enter the upper bracket.

There, the team went on an unbeaten run to the grand finals but was once again denied by Blacklist International via sweep.
