Oita Miyoshi-Suntory games cancelled as three more players test positive

Bryan Bagunas and Oita Miyoshi’s games for the weekend have been cancelled.

This as after three positive tests last Saturday night which caused the cancellation of their game against JTEKT last Sunday, a bulk of the players were considered close contacts.

The Weisse Adler were supposed to take on Suntory this weekend at Kodama Osu Arena.

“A large number of athletes were instructed to designate close contacts and suspend team activities,” the team statement read.

“As a result, March 5th and 6th games versus Suntory Sunbirds at the Kodama Osu Arena [are cancelled].”

Oita Miyoshi’s next game will be on March 12 against JT Thunders at the Zip Arena Okayama unless further cancellations have to be done.

The Weisse Adler camp is at ninth place with a 5-22 win-loss record, and is on a six-game slump.

The last game Oita Miyoshi played was back on February 26, a 15-25, 20-25, 18-25 loss to JTEKT.
