OhMyV33NUS glad to see ONIC PH in MPL PH Finals

Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna felt thrilled since he will face his former team ONIC PH in the grand finals of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight.

“I’m actually excited,” expressed the 27-year-old esports star.

On Saturday afternoon, Blacklist International took out its rival Omega Esports – the same team that sent down the lower bracket – through a 3-1 victory in the losers’ finale to enter the grand finals.

Waiting for the Tier One-backed squad in the biggest MPL Philippines stage is OhMyV33NUS’ former team ONIC PH. He previously led them to two consecutive finals appearances in Season Four and Five.

“Actually, ako I’m super happy nung nakapasok sila ng grand finals nung natalo nila yung Omega. Kasi personally, ever since pa lang mag-start’ yung season, week one and week two… Alam naman natin kung paano sila nag-dominate,” said OhMyV33NUS during the MPL post-match interview.

“Alam ko na agad na it’s really ONIC time, alam ko na ano sa Chillax ‘yun… ‘Yung statement ko na sinabi ko na I’m confident na kayang-kaya mag-champion ng ONIC and even RSG that time,” he added.

According to OhMyV33NUS, familiarity may play a huge role in the series. ONIC PH is bannered by his former teammates in Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera and Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy.

“More than anyone, ONIC ang may pinakaalam kung paano ako maglaro ‘pag LAN event. Sila ang pinakanakakakilala sa akin kung gaano ako ka-performer kapag nasa stage ako.”

Still, despite everything that has happened in the past, OhMyV33NUS is just glad to see his former team finally get back to the grand finals.
