After so many Ls the past year, National University finally got a win.
All-around guard Reyland Torres has committed to the Bulldogs for college, Thursday evening.
Bulldogs head coach Jeff Napa confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.
“Malaking bagay sa program namin ito kasi galing si Reyland sa Juniors program namin,” said Napa.
“Great addition sa team.”
Torres, 19, was the Swiss army knife of the Bullpups during their immaculate sweep of UAAP Season 82.
The combo guard normed 7.5 points, 6.56 rebounds, 2.06 assists, and 1.0 steals in 16 games played.
This is a huge get for Napa’s program, as the previous regime lost seniors Kevin Quiambao, Carl Tamayo, and Gerry Abadiano to rival UAAP universities.
For Napa, he hopes that this paves the way for the rest of the Bullpups to enter college in NU as well.
Also graduating this year are Terrence Fortea, Harold Alarcon, Ernest Felicilda, Aaron Buenselida, Steve Nash Enriquez, and Echo Laure.
