Noli Eala succeeds Butch Ramirez as PSC chair

Butch Ramirez’s successor in the Philippine Sports Commission has been named on Tuesday evening.

Noli Eala has been appointed to be the next PSC chairperson.

Tough will be the job of the Eala as he looks to sustain the momentum gained by the country last year after winning its first-ever gold medal in the Olympics courtesy of Hidilyn Diaz.

Eala previously served as the commissioner of the Philippine Basketball Association from 2003 to 2007.

He was also the former executive director of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and sports director of the San Miguel Corporation.

Eala will be the 11th PSC chairman.

Eala will join PSC Commissioner Bong Coo and three others to form the board.
