Nisperos glad to have ex-DLSU rivals Sharma, Jazareno on her side

The pieces are finally falling into place for Akari, and it’s now just a matter of turning that untapped potential into wins.

During the offseason, the Chargers acquired the De La Salle University duo of Fifi Sharma and Justine Jazareno while also adding another veteran presence in Roselle Baliton to strengthen their core, led by Faith Nisperos and Dindin Santiago-Manabat.PVL-Invitational-2023-PLDT-vs.-Akari-Fifi-Sharma-7298 Nisperos glad to have ex-DLSU rivals Sharma, Jazareno on her side News PVL Volleyball - philippine sports news

“We’ve been training really hard and syempre with the additional players diba? We have Fifi, we have Ate Roselle Baliton, we also have Justine. I could say na dahan-dahan the pieces are slowly coming together,” said Nisperos, who is entering her second conference with Akari.

“I think one thing we’re looking forward to this conference is basically turning our potential into proper results po kasi we don’t want to be just you know, potential, so we wanna make something out of the potential so that’s our goal (for) this coming conference,” added team captain Michelle Cobb.

Nisperos said that the aggressiveness that the former Lady Spikers have been showing throughout their buildup will be a great asset to the team in the Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference.

For her part, Nisperos said that she’s excited to face off against all the teams and finally gauge where she is right now compared to when she first entered the professional scene in the last conference.
