Nico Almendras starting to form bond with Camposano in Sta. Elena

By: Jonash Dannug

With the likes of Bryan Bagunas, Francis Saura, Madz Gampong, and Kim Malabunga leaving due to graduation, UAAP Season 81 Rookie of the Year Nico Almendras of NU is in search for a new mentor.

“So, ‘yun ‘yung pinakamalaking adjustment na ginawa namin ngayon.”

Luckily for him, though, a former UAAP Rookie of the Year in Edward Camposano has taken him under his wings.

Camposano, the Season 77 Rookie of the Year who transferred to NU from UE back in 2017, has been a big boost for the young Sta. Elena Ball Hammers, providing them with veteran presence and stability.

The duo of Almendras and Camposano has done wonders for Sta. Elena with the two combining for 47 points in their four-set victory against Easytrip-Raimol last Tuesday.

Almendras is just glad to have Camposano by his side especially now that his seniors have already graduated.
