New day for Calvin Abueva: ‘Ito na po!’

This particular Monday is surely one of the best days of Calvin Abueva’s life.

The Phoenix forward has been waiting for this day for a long, long time. He finally gets to make his much-anticipated return to PBA action.

And he expressed his excitement to finally play again after 16 long months in a video he posted on his Instagram account.

“Ganda ng gising ko ngayon,” the 32-year-old said.

Abueva saw his indefinite suspension lifted by Commissioner Willie Marcial over the weekend, finally ending his agony of waiting.

The Kapampangan cager then expressed gratitude to all those who have supported and prayed for him.

“Thank you sa lahat ng mga sumusuporta sa akin, at thank you sa lahat ng dasal niyo,” he said.

Abueva will make his first game later tonight at 6:45 p.m. when the Fuel Masters take on the struggling NLEX Road Warriors.

“Ito na po, makakapaglaro na po ako,” he said.

“Inaalay ko po ‘tong game na ‘to para sa inyo at especially sa mga friends na laging andyan sa’kin.”
