NAVI signs AK ahead of Esports World Cup

Filipino Tekken prodigy Alexandre “AK” Laverez has signed with European esports giant Natus Vincere ahead of his Esports World Cup campaign.

AK, who won his first major international title a few weeks ago at Combo Breaker 2024, secured his spot at the global spectacle in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next month after finishing 5th-6th at DreamHack Dallas 2024.

NaVi is one of the prominent esports organizations in the world, supporting teams in multiple esports disciplines.

They previously joined the MLBB scene, participating in the M3 World Championship and finishing 7th-8th.

In 2023, AK finished second in the IESF World Esports Championships 2023 Tekken tournament behind Pakistan’s Atif “Atif Butt” Ijaz.

He also won a silver medal in Tekken during the 30th Southeast Asian Games in 2019.
