Nard Pinto has left Meralco after three years.
An unrestricted free agent since December 31, the 5-foot-11 guard out of Arellano University has signed a three-year deal with Bolts arch-rival Ginebra San Miguel.
Spin.ph first reported the development while Pinto’s agent Danny Espiritu confirmed it to Tiebreaker Times.
Pinto, who was drafted as the 19th overall pick in the 2014 draft, was eligible to sign with whatever team he wanted as he was part of the first batch of UFAs in the league.
In two games played in the ongoing 2021-22 PBA Governors’ Cup, the Davaoeno averaged 9.0 points, 5.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in two games played.
He normed 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists during the Philippine Cup — including setting his career-high 24 points during Game Two of the semis against Magnolia.
