MSC: Donut leads Burn X Flash to semis

PHNOM PENH – Home team Burn X Flash advanced to the semifinals of the 2023 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup after sweeping RSG SG, 2-0, at the Aeon Mall Mean Chey here.

Filipino gold laner Mariusz “Donut” Tan took charge in the team’s dominant 14-8 Game 1 win to open the series, finishing with nine kills and two deaths against two assists on Beatrix in 14 minutes and 21 seconds of action.

Burn X Flash trailed early in Game 2 but Sok “C Cat” Roth’s impressive Valentina performance towed the hometown bet to a come-from-behind 16-16 Game 2 win in 19 minutes. He finished with 10 kills, two deaths, and two assists in the contest.

The Cambodian squad sealed the deal with a win in Game 3.

After four Lord takes, Burn X Flash finally found the opening they needed to close out RSG SG during a siege entering the 20th minute.

Burn X Flash zeroed in on Brayden “BRAYYY” Teo (Alpha) and Fawzan “Okky” Herdiatna (Wanwan) to start the siege that eliminated RSG SG.

“My journey with Burn is really fun especially since they are fun to be with and are like my second family. I really feel like I’m home,” said Donut after the victory.

Ccat tallied two kills and 10 assists against 1 death on Faramis in the 17-7 Game 3 win while Donut had two kills and three assists on Claude after 20 minutes and 25 seconds of play.

Burn X Flash will take on the winner between Blacklist International and Fire Flux Impunity on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
