MPL PH to implement two new rules for Season 9

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines is set to implement a couple of new rules for the upcoming Season Nine.

After the regular season, the first and third-ranked teams will receive the opportunity to set up the playoff bracket.

The top-ranked squad in the eliminations will choose the placement of the third and fourth-ranked squads in the first round of the playoffs. Meanwhile, the third seed squad will select the placements for the fifth and sixth seeds.

“Nakasalalay sa 1st at 3rd ranked team ng Regular Season ang magiging mukha ng playoff picture,” said the league in a Facebook post.

Aside from this, the league also announced that teams can now sign up to three assistant coaches.

One assistant coach may also assist the head coach during the drafting phase of each match.

Prior to this, only the head coaches of the team had permission to join the main five during the drafting phase.

The MPL Philippines Season Nine will begin on February 18.
