Escalera rises over Kramm, Yasuwo for MPL’s top rookie award


Jomarie “Escalera” Delos Santos edged two of his TNC teammates to become MPL Philippines’ Rookie of the Season, Friday night.

Escalera, who averaged 4.82 assists and 2.50 KDA per game, tallied a total of 212 assists in Season Nine.

The former ArkAngel standout topped the Rookie of the Season race with 37 points — beating his teammate Mark “Kramm” Rusiana who had a total of 35 points.

Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille came in third with 11 points.

TNC, after placing last in the previous season, rose from the ashes and finished third in Season Nine. The team ranked second in the regular season but lost to Omega Esports in the lower bracket finals.
