MPL PH: Unstoppable RSG PH makes quick work of ECHO


RSG extended its winning streak to seven games, sweeping ECHO, 2-0, to take the top spot in the MPL Philippines Season Nine on Saturday night.

The team moved up to 9-3 with a league-high 27 points after the solid win against ECHO. RSG PH’s last experienced a loss in the third week also against ECHO.

Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto’s Baxia proved to be too much for ECHO in the opener. The RSG PH jungler spearheaded the team’s lopsided 15-5 Game One win to get the early 1-0 advantage in the series.

RSG PH secured crucial objectives early on which gave the team its much-needed power spike in the mid-game to completely shut down ECHO. The second Cryoturtle which RSG PH surrendered just to lock down ECHO’s heroes was one of the key turning points in the match.

Demonkite finished with four kills and nine assists against one death in the Game One win while Arvie “Aqua” Calderon — who also played a pivotal part in the dominant win — had five kills and eight assists without a death.

Demonkite once again led the way with six kills, a death, and nine assists on Karina while Dylan “Light” Catipon had a game-high 13 assists to go along with two kills and a death on Khufra.

ECHO, who now lost three of its last five games, slid to the second spot with an 8-4 standing and 25 points.

RSG PH looks to stretch its winning streak to eight games against Blacklist Intetnational tomorrow, Sunday at 8:00 PM while ECHO will face ONIC PH om Friday also at 8:00 PM.
