MPL PH: MINANA asserts mastery of TNC, bags third straight win

MINANA Evos continued their stellar play and secured a third straight victory by completing a 2-0 sweep of TNC Pro Team in Week 4 of the MPL Philippines Season 13 on Sunday at the Shooting Gallery Studios in Makati City.

The White Tigers solidified their grip on the fifth spot in the standings as they improved to 4-4 with 13 points.

TNC suffered their fifth straight loss and seventh overall, remaining at the bottom of the standings with only three points.

“Nilaro lang namin yung laro talaga namin. Yun lang talaga. Wala nang ibang detalye. Ginamit lang namin yung playstyle namin tsaka yung mga hero,” said Douglas “Imbadeejay” Astibe II, reflecting on duplicating their first-round win against TNC.

In Game 1, MINANA turned back TNC’s early game aggression by securing the first lord and scoring a 4-0 wipe led by Ken “Kzen” Pile (Martis) with a double kill.

Kzen once again clutched the 14th-minute lord before Jan “Domeng” Delmundo’s (Natan) triple kill spearheaded a 5-1 wipeout to secure the opening win.

“Mas naging disiplinado lang kami nung Game 1. Sobrang pasyente po namin. Hinihintay lang namin silang magkamali. Isa lang na pagkakamali nila, maliit na detalye lang talaga, at dun kami papasok,” explained Kzen on how they fought back from the Game 1 deficit.

MINANA once again relied on their signature meta in Game 2, picking Floryn and Faramis, leading to a dominant win in just 15 minutes.

MINANA will next face Blacklist International on Saturday, April 20th.
