MPL PH: ECHO vents ire on Blacklist for bounce back win


Coming off a loss to TNC in their last time out, ECHO obliterated Blacklist International, 2-0, to bounce back in MPL Philippines Season Nine on Sunday night.

ECHO  has already secured its playoffs spot. The team improved its standing to 8-3 with a league-high 25 points.

Yawi secured an early kill on the Blacklist International jungler, taking him out during a purple buff take before the first minute of the match. Then, the ECHO roamer hounded Kevier anew in the orange buff which forced him to retreat.

This gave Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno’s Karrie to get its much-needed space against Blacklist International.

Yawi finished with four kills and eight assists against one death in the Game One victory while Jankurt “KurtTzy” Matira’s Pharsa ended up with five kills and five assists against two deaths. In Game Two, ECHO completely ran over Blacklist International, taking a 25-5 Game Two win in just 11 minutes and 10 seconds.

KarlTzy’s Ling recorded 10 kills and 10 assists to lead ECHO. The back-to-back champions remained at the sixth spot with 11 points off a 2-9 standing.

ECHO will return next week, Saturday against RSG PH at 6:00 PM while Blacklist International looks to salvage its campaign against Bren Esports earlier that day at 4:00 PM.
