MPL Philippines champion Blacklist International remained immaculate, stamping its class over MPL Indonesia winner EVOS Legends via a 3-0 sweep to enter the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup grand finals, Saturday night.
Blacklist International extended its winning streak to four series all while posting a perfect 9-0 win-loss record.
Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna’s Estes keyed the Game Three win, providing his squad with crucial Blessing of the Moon Goddess. This allowed Blacklist International to weather EVOS Legends’ attacks and put the series in the bag.
The Blacklist captain finished with two kills and five assists against just a death in the 10-5, 12:23-minute victory.
Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario’s Brody went ham in the opener. Blacklist International made quick work of the MPL Indonesia titlist through a 23-17 Game One result.
Wise poured nine kills and seven assists against just three deaths. On the other hand, Kiel “OHEB” Soriano’s Alice, who won the match MVP award, ended up with seven kills, three deaths, and five assists.
EVOS Legends had no answer to Blacklist International’s healing strategy with only Joshua “LJ” Darmansyah’s Popol and Kupa carrying an anti-heal item.
Come Game Two, OHEB took over as he put up 10 kills and five assists against just one death. He also garnered a game-high 11,406 net worth.
The supporting cast of OhMyV33NUS (Diggie) and Mark “ESON” Gerardo (Gloo) played stellar anew. That then allowed the Tier One-backed squad to move at match-point.
Blacklist International will go up against the winner of the losers’ finale tomorrow in the grand finals at 6:00 pm. Meanwhile, EVOS Legends will square off against the winner between RSG MY and Execration earlier in the day.
