MPL PH: Blacklist asserts mastery of AP.Bren, secures third seed

Blacklist International showed poise in overcoming a lengthy series against AP.Bren to score a 2-0 sweep and secure the playoff third seed in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 12 at the Shooting Gallery Studios, Makati City on Sunday.

Blacklist concluded their season campaign with 22 points but took the third seed owing to superior tiebreak over RSG Philippines who also accumulated 22 points.

In Game 1, Blacklist squandered a 10k net worth lead after a miscalculated aggression late in the 20th minute resulted in a double kill for Super Marco plus the evolved lord.

Blacklist had to clutch the 26th minute lord and weave their way through a tight base turret siege a minute later to finally put away AP.Bren, 1-0.

Game 2 was a tough 32-minute encounter where Blacklist once again squandered an early game lead and had to lean on Stephen “Sensui” Castillo’s (Fredrinn) godly retribution skills to secure the 31st minute lord and mount a game winning base turret siege.

Despite their seventh loss, AP.Bren still managed to bag an upper bracket berth for the second straight season. They finished the regular season with 24 points.
