MPL: KurtTzy, ECHO deal TNC heartbreak

ECHO denied TNC its first win after completing a 2-1 reverse sweep in MPL Philippines Season 10, Sunday at the ICITE Auditorium.

The team moved to 3-1, tying Blacklist International at the third spot while TNC fell to 0-5.

ECHO was on its way to securing Game One after taking down Ben “Benthings” Maglaque (Franco) during the Lord fight at the 22nd minute. The team eventually took down the Lord, but Mark “Kramm” Rusiana (Paquito) had other things in mind.

During that span, the TNC EXP laner pushed ECHO’s middle inhibitor turret while the rest of his teammates prevented the ECHO contingent from recalling. Jankurt “KurtTzy” Matira (Lylia), though, was able to get back in time to clear the minion waves but it was not enough to stop Kramm from handing TNC its first win of the season.

Kramm scored two kills and four assists against three deaths in the epic 10-6 win while Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille supplied five kills and two assists without a death on Wanwan.

Game Two once again went the distance, but ECHO finally got the longer end of the stick following a crucial pickoff play on Yasuwo’s Popol and Kupa at the top lane at the 24th minute.

With Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico (Paquito) providing the vision, Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz (Atlas), Jhonville “OUTPLAYED” Villar (Beatrix), and KurtTzy (Xavier) erased the TNC gold laner before eliminating Benthings (Lolita) to secure the win.

KurtTzy topped ECHO with a 6-1-10 KDA line in 24 minutes and 45 seconds while OUTPLAYED supplied six kills, a death, and eight assists.
