MPL: ECHO makes swift work of Omega to sustain league-best record

ECHO made quick work of Omega Esports to claim its fourth consecutive win in the second round of the MPL Philippines Season 10 regular season, Saturday at the ICITE Auditorium.

The Archie “Tictac” Reyes-coached squad has now grabbed the top spot with a league-best 8-2 record laced with 20 points.

Entering the 21st minute of the opener, Omega Esports scored a five-man wipe of ECHO while also taking down their top inhibitor turret in the process. This prompted the Smart-backed squad to force a push inside ECHO’s base.

Unfortunately for them, Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno (Julian) respawned just in time to save the day. The former M2 MVP took down all four Omega Esports players inside their base for the Maniac that eventually helped them steal Game One.

KarlTzy finished with a game-high 12 kills laced with eight assists and four deaths for ECHO while Alston “Sanji” Pabico supplied a 6-4-14 KDA line in the 25-16 win in 21 minutes and 42 seconds.

Quick was the second game between ECHO and Omega Esports as the former used a ninth minute Lord to finish off the series.

KarlTzy once again topped ECHO with seven kills and seven assists against one death on Julian while Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera had three kills and six assists on Chou in the dominant 16-5 win which only lasted for 10 minutes and 42 seconds.

ECHO will face TNC on Saturday at 5:00 PM while Omega Esports looks to bounce back against the same squad tomorrow at 7:30 PM.
