As the veteran of the team, with stints in MPL Cambodia and the M5 World Championship, one would expect Michael “MP the King” Endino to be the one giving advice to his Twisted Minds teammates.
However, the 20-year-old jungler says otherwise.
“Di ko sila pinapayuhan. Sila nagpapayo sa’kin eh,” revealed MP the King when asked what advice he gives to his rookie teammates.
MP the King felt impressed by the wisdom of his new teammates, noting that he felt comfortable immediately, even early in the season.
“Sinasabi lang nila na ‘Wag mo isipin na malakas yung mga yan. Pantay-pantay lang tayo. Asiman mo kung gusto mo.’ Parang mga katarantaduhan lang pero pag pinrocess mo sa utak mo nang maayos, nagme-make sense naman talaga,” he said.
“Kasi nung mga nakaraang seasons, meron din talagang kaba maglaro eh — takot ako magkamali. Pero nung nakausap sila nung sila nagpapayo sa’kin, parang di ako nakakaramdam ng pressure na parang di nila ako ija-judge pag nagkamali ako. Nice try lang pag nagkamali. Pag success, edi nice. Parang ganun yun eh.”

And it showed.
His aggressive Lancelot play against Team Falcons PH set the tone for a dominating Game 1 victory, building the team’s momentum for a sweep and leaving doubters in awe of the rookie-laden squad.
He followed it up with another impressive performance in Game 2, concluding the series with an average of 5.5 kills, 8.5 assists, and only 0.5 deaths.
MP the King credits his teammates for his newfound confidence and revitalized performance.
“Siguro po dahil din po sa kampi ko. Iba kasi yung pakiramdam ko sa kampi ko ngayon. Yung pinagkaiba kasi ng mga previous seasons, kailangan pa namin buoin yung chemistry namin eh,” said MP the King on his performance against the Falcons.
He went on, “Unlike dito sa mga kampi ko, parang ako na lang yung magsi-sync sa kanila. Ako yung mag-aadjust sa kanila so madali nilang malabas yung laro na gusto ko talaga.”
Things now look promising for Twisted Minds, who had to make a last-ditch run late in Season 15 to secure a playoff spot after staying in the danger zone all season.
“Siguro mas napaaga. Nahanap ko naman yung bahay ko nung dati kong mga kakampi eh. Pero yun nga lang nung playoffs ko na nahanap. Ito pasimula pa lang ng season, komportable na agad ako. Confident na agad ako sa kanila.”
