Unlike the Manama window of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers, Thailand will be heading to Clark next month with full force.
Headlining the country’s 20-man pool is naturalized big man Moses Morgan.
Morgan, 28, powered Thailand in the Pre-Qualifiers tournament, averaging 20.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 blocks in five games played.
The 10-man squad that went 0-2 in the second window also received call-ups – namely Chanathip Jakrawan, Nakorn Jaisanuk, Nattakarn Muangboon, Wattana Suthisin, Chatpon Chungyampin, Bundit Lakhan, Sukhdave Ghogar, and Montien Wongsawangtham.
Completing the team are Anasawee Klawnarong, Anucha Langsui, and Attapong Leelaphipatkul of Thailand General Equipment; Soroj Soontonsori, Terawat Chantachon, and Darongphan Apiromvilaichai of Banvas Black Bulls; Chitchai Ananti of Panthers BC; Afnan Chalansarn of Chulalongkorn University; Wuttipong Dasom of Dunkin Raptors; and Toby Tai Satitsamphan.
Thailand will only begin their camp on Monday.
Though 0-4 in Group A, Thailand has five points for second-third place in the group after the deductions of South Korea.
