Mixed emotions for V33wise after MPL return

Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario and Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna finally made their much-anticipated return to the MPL Philippines stage on Friday night.

Wise said that he felt nervous on their way to the ICITE Auditorium. It then eventually turned into excitement once he finally got to the stage and held his gaming phone.

OhMyV33NUS, on the other hand, only felt excitement as they finally made their Blacklist International comeback after deciding to skip the previous season to rest.

“Nung bago kami umalis ng bootcamp kinakabahan talaga ako. Nung nandito na, nung nahawakan ko na yung cellphone biglang nawala e. Biglang napalitan ng excitement,” said Wise.

“Ako sakto lang. Hindi naman ako kinabahan, mas more on excitement yung naramdaman ko,” shared OhMyV33NUS.

The V33Wise duo engineered Blacklist International’s 2-1 victory over Nexplay EVOS to take the early lead in the standings.

It was breath of fresh air for the Tier One-backed squad, who went through a very tough time in Season Nine.

After winning back-to-back MPL titles and a world championship, Blacklist International — without V33Wise — fell face first and ended the season with a 3-11 win-loss standing. They missed the playoffs for the first time since joining the league in Season Five.

With OhMyV33NUS and Wise back in the fold, Blacklist International gold laner Kiel “OHEB” Soriano said that the team is out to reclaim the throne they lost in the previous season.

“Gigil (ako) saka excited kasi gigil kaming tatlo, kaming lahat bumawi this season dahil sa nangyari. Exciting din kasi kumpleto na ulit kaming M3 lineup.”
