TNT and Mikey Williams are still in an impasse.
The Tropang Giga have opted not to include the 6-foot-2 guard in their initial roster for the 2023-24 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
According to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation, Williams, a two-time PBA Finals MVP, opted to re-negotiate a new deal with TNT for the 48th season of the league.
The two sides have yet to have a meeting of the minds.
Though in the lineup, Roger Pogoy will also be out for TNT’s campaign in the import-laden conference due to a heart disease.
Listed as an injury reserve is Poy Erram.
Jojo Lastimosa – who steered the Tropang Giga to the top during the 2023 Governors’ Cup – will still be the head coach of the team. Meanwhile, Chot Reyes will serve as their senior consultant.
Bannering TNT for this conference are Calvin Oftana, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Jayson Castro, and Kelly Williams.
Completing the locals are Lervin Flores, Paul Varilla, Jaydee Tungcab, Ryan Reyes, Brian Heruela, Kib Montalbo, Matt Ganuelas-Rosser, Jewel Ponferrada, and Henry Galinato.
TNT will begin its campaign against Magnolia on opening day.
