Sudan Daniel has definitely touched a lot of lives.
A 6-foot-7 American, Daniel was active in both basketball and the local hip-hop scene.
And he was able to combine both of his passions through Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3, the country’s first-ever professional 3×3 basketball league that blended sports and music in each in every leg.
During the inception of the league back in 2019, Daniel was able to hook up with Mike Swift — the league’s dynamic duo albeit one being Batman and the other being, well, Superman.
With the two on the mic, games had an added flair to it as the live audience also had a chance to hear live commentary which was different from the TV broadcast.
And the two would not take breaks even if one leg lasting from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. For them, going to the games wasn’t work — it was their passion.
Come the third season of the league, Swift will no longer have his brother-in-arm by his side as Daniel passed away last Saturday.
Emotional was Swift Sunday, penning a tribute to his friend.
“We are supposed to do so much more together Su. Having a hard time accepting this, but you would want me to be strong as always,” read Swift’s post as the two were planning to release a song together which is produced by Yung Bawal.
“Life will never be the same for me. Rest in heaven, my brother. Love you big guy.”
