Injured Alaska Aces forward Vic Manuel said on Wednesday night that he is looking to return in Game Three of the 2016 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
Manuel suffered a calf strain two weeks ago in practice and missed the last game of Alaska’s quarterfinals series against Tropang TNT. Manuel also missed the entire semi-finals against Meralco, but he remains hopeful he could suit up for the championship round.
“Sabi sa akin ng mga doktor, pinakamabilis na next week. Game 3, Game 4 siguro,” Manuel shared. “Mayroon pa akong nararamdaman. Talagang pinapahinga pa. Kailangan na lang ng rest, strengthening.”
Manuel is averaging 12.3 PPG on 52.5 percent field goal shooting and 4.3 RPG in 13 games played this conference.
The forward added he is already in the strengthening stage of healing his injured calf, and is already taking part in shootaround during practices.
“Kaya naman. Excited na ako maglaro. Gustong-gusto ko na maglaro kaso hindi pa talaga pwede. Kailangan lang ipahinga at palakasin talaga.”
