Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League owner Senator Manny Pacquiao has been requested to undergo quarantine by Barangay Dasmariñas.
This after a video circulated online showing him at a function with senator Koko Pimentel, who recently tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).
The statement of the barangay was first posted by Rappler Sports’ Bee Go.
“You have been identified as a Person Under Monitoring after [a video] of you and Koko Pimentel in your house seen partying together went viral,” the statement signed by Barangay Captain Rossana Hwang. “Many of your colleagues in the Senate have been identified to be COVID positive.
“Therefore, you have to be quarantined at your own house.”
The recommendation was made by doctors in Makati Medical Center who are also residing in the said village alongside the Makati Health Department.
To help the Pacquiao household, the association offered its services to Pacquiao and his family with whatever they need to be bought.
“For your own family’s, household’s, and community’s safety, please have yourself quarantined. No one, including any from your household, can come out,” the statement furthered. “If you need anything, please call the barangay. We can procure things for you and send it to your doorstep.
“Please be a model example.”
