M5: AP.Bren averts collapse vs Team Flash, secures playoff berth


AP.Bren flirted with a disastrous opener before regaining their bearings and dominating to score a 2-0 sweep of Team Flash on Day 5 of the M5 World Championship Group Stage on Wednesday at the EVM Convention Center in Quezon City.

The Hornets scored their second straight win to ensure passage to the knockout stage regardless of the result of their final group stage match against Team Lilgun.

In Game 1, AP.Bren turned back a 9k net worth deficit by taking a 2-0 pick-off in the 17th minute with Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano (Claude) and Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson (Akai) splitting the kills.

They did not concede any death the rest of the way and secured the evolved lord before Super Marco’s double kill in the 20th minute capped off AP.Bren’s comeback to take the opener 1-0.

With momentum on their side, AP.Bren continued to control Game 2 from the get-go, going up by as much as 12k on the net worth and completing the sweep by the 14th minute with a shutout 4-0 kill score.
