Lycha Ebon officially out for season


Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws rookie Lycha Ebon will not return for her team’s run into the Final Four.

The Davaoeña announced the development via Twitter that the knee injury she incurred at the start of the second round against the Adamson University will need more time to recover.

“Thank you so much sa mga sumuporta sa akin this season at sa mga nag pray sa recovery ko, you guys are the best,” she expressed.

“I will not play again and finish this season po.”

FEU officials were optimistic Ebon could still play this season after athletic director Mark Molina said they would seek a second opinion in late April.

“Yes, sayang pero di ko po isusugal to because I still have a lot of years pa naman po to prove myself again,” she continued.

Before she was injured, Ebon was in the top 10 in scoring, having compiled 93 attacks, nine blocks, and 13 aces.

The Lady Tamaraws end the elimination round against the De La Salle University on Sunday, April 28.
