Locked in a grueling five-setter, the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws absorbed a major blow, as rookie opposite hitter Lycha Ebon went down due to a knee injury.
The Davaoeña landed awkwardly on her knee after colliding with Adamson’s Bernadette Flora. She needed to be carried back to FEU’s dugout.
The Lady Tamaraws eventually won the contest, 30-32, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 15-13.
Initial diagnosis from FEU physical therapists have her with a knee sprain.
Earlier in the game, Jeanette Villareal also hurt her knee in the first set.
