La Salle setter Kim Fajardo is a sublime talent – one of those rare few a team cannot just replace overnight.
Fajardo was the fuel that made the La Salle engine go full throttle in their championship run in UAAP Season 78. A repeat could very well be in play if Fajardo decides to play one more year.
The UST High School product has already spent six years in college and has played in four UAAP seasons due to the residency rule.
Fajardo, reportedly, wants to skip out her final season to spend more time with her family, spurring her fans to create #KAF1MoreYear to keep her in Taft Avenue.
One of the movement’s biggest supporters is La Salle head coach Ramil De Jesus. The decorated mentor always gushed about Fajardo’s gifts and talent. Although he admits he has not talked to Fajardo about her decision, De Jesus acknowledges how important Fajardo is to La Salle’s bid for a back-to-back title.
Made aware of the fans’ constant urging on social media, De Jesus says he shares the same sentiment with fans.
Fajardo confirms that she and De Jesus have yet to talk.
“Focus lang ako sa PSL ngayon,” Fajardo said.
