Kyt Jimenez’s next journey will take him from Sarangani to Davao Occidental.
The flamboyant guard has signed with defending Pilipinas Super League champions Tigers.
He was formally introduced during the league’s Dumper Cup press conference on Friday at Gloria Maris.
For the 25-year-old Perpetual Help product, he joined the Tigers so that he can be surrounded by veteran players like Paolo Hubalde, John Wilson, and Jerwin Gaco.
“Sumali ako sa Tigers para matuto din ako sa mga kuya ko at para makatulong sa team,” said Jimenez, also thanking Mayor “Dinko” Bautista for the opportunity.
Jimenez’s first pro stint was with the Marlins in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
Jimenez averaged 17.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.8 steals per game, leading Sarangani to a quarterfinals berth.
He also tallied an uber-rare quadruple-double last October 10, tallying 33 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, and 11 steals against Mindoro.
Davao Occidental will play on opening day against Boracay on Wednesday at 6:00 PM. The game will be played at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
