Kiefer fined, suspended for unsportsmanlike fouls during Kyoto game

Shiga’s hopes of ending its 10-game slide in the 2021-22 B.League season just got tougher.

Lakestars main guard Kiefer Ravena will miss their game against Osaka on Wednesday after being suspended by the league.

The punishment came after the former NLEX Road Warrior was assessed two unsportsmanlike fouls against Kyoto last Sunday.

During the game that saw Shiga lose to Kyoto 57-79, Ravena was called for his first unsportsmanlike foul in the 4:51 mark of the first quarter.

In the final frame, he was again called for a UF with 4:55 left in the contest, resulting in his ejection.

Besides a one-game ban, Ravena was also handed a ¥50,000 fine.

Ravena has been averaging 12.8 points, 5.9 assists, and 2.1 rebounds per game for Shiga.

The Lakestars are currently 10th in the west with a 10-27 record.
