Kib Montalbo out two weeks due to plantar fasciitis

Kib Montalbo is day-to-day after sustaining an injury during TNT’s first game inside the PBA bubble last October 11 against Alaska.

According to the MRI, the 6-foot defensive specialist suffered plantar fasciitis and is now listed as day-to-day.

This was confirmed to Tiebreaker Times by team manager Gabby Cui and Montalbo himself.

“Baka two weeks out,” lamented the native of Bacolod.

Montalbo had a solid debut in his first-ever game as a pro, logging 25 minutes and finishing with two steals and two rebounds. He also played hard-nosed defense against Alaska’s guards.

The 25-year-old had to be helped by his teammates to the bench with 3:18 left in the said game.

Montalbo missed TNT’s game against Terra Firma two days ago.
